Why Wellington Couples Are Driving to Loxahatchee for Their Barn Weddings

Why Wellington Couples Are Driving to Loxahatchee for Their Barn Weddings

We hear it all the time, a couple from Wellington finishes touring a few ballrooms, walks away feeling like nothing quite fits, and then makes the short drive out to Cole Lane in Loxahatchee. They step inside Rayshell Ranch, see the handcrafted farmhouse tables Ray built himself, and everything shifts. That drive is shorter than you think, and what you find at Rayshell Ranch is worth every minute of it.

What Couples Find When They Arrive at Rayshell Ranch

From the moment you walk through the barn doors, the difference is clear. This isn't a converted event space dressed up with rustic props. It's a real European style red barn on a working farm, built by a family who loved this land before a single wedding ever took place here. The authenticity you feel is because it's real.

A Barn Built by the People Who Own It

There's a real difference between a venue that looks rustic and one that actually is. Ray designed this barn himself, guided by his personal motto of go big or go home. The farmhouse tables inside were built and stained by Ray and Michelle personally. When you sit at one of those tables on your wedding day, you're sitting at something made by the people who still run this property. That kind of detail matters to couples, and it matters to us too.

The barn seats up to 200 attendees. Intimate dinner or larger celebration, we can work with your guest count.

Twelve Hours, No Rush

One thing couples mention after booking is the relief of having twelve full hours at the venue. Setup, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and a proper sendoff, all without anyone pushing you toward the exit. Within those twelve hours you have access to the air conditioned barn, your choice of indoor or outdoor ceremony space, a cocktail area, the bridal suite, and the groom's room. The dance floor, vintage bar area, 75 inch smart TV, and Bluetooth sound system are all already included. You're not assembling this piece by piece.

Coordination and Decor Come Standard

Lisa, our in house coordinator, is included with every package. She's available by talk and text throughout the entire planning process, not just on the wedding day. For couples managing jobs and long vendor lists at the same time, having one consistent point of contact makes an enormous difference.

Our in house decor selection covers a wide range of styles. Baby's breath mason jars, lit lanterns, wooden logs, signage, floral arrangements, and vintage elements. These come with your booking at no extra cost, and our professional setup team handles the arrangements before your guests arrive. You choose the look, we handle the execution.

The Farm Is Part of the Experience

Cocktail hour overlooks the water, tiki torches line the paths, and as the sun goes down, the horse paddocks are illuminated and visible from the outdoor spaces. These aren't rented props, they're the property.

Our resident animals, including miniature ponies, miniature donkeys, emus, goats, chickens, ducks, and cows, are a genuine draw for guests. The petting area is especially popular with kids and, honestly, with plenty of adults too.

A Vendor Network Already in Place

Our preferred vendor list covers catering, bar service, photography, officiants, transportation, florals, entertainment, and more. Many of our preferred vendors offer discounts for Rayshell Ranch events, and all are familiar with our layout and logistics. When you book with us, you're not starting a vendor search from scratch.

Conclusion

Ray and Michelle built this place for their own family first. The horses, the open land, the room to breathe that's harder to find when you're living in Boca. Then brides started calling, and they realized what they'd built for themselves was exactly what other couples were looking for.
